Diabetic Foot
Treatment
Diabetics are prone to foot problems, due to the poor circulation and nerve damage caused by diabetes. Poor circulation reduces your foot's ability to heal.
Neuropathy or nerve damage can cause a loss of feeling in your foot, removing the ability to detect pain or discomfort. Foot care is especially important if you have diabetes.
Small injuries, cuts, or sores can be become serious and difficult to treat if not quickly identified. Sometimes amputation is necessary if an infection has severely damaged the tissue or bone.
