…Optimized for fishing, the 14 m long vessel Barcoo Drift will be used on the Barcoo River in Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Roger Hill Yacht Design, New Zealand, and built by Julian Griffiths and his team in Noosa Marine, Australia, using sandwich core com-posite materials from ATL Composites in co-operation with Diab. To provide extra strength while keeping the vessel light, Divinycell HM100 was engineered into the hull bottoms and lower topsides. This way the boat can absorb high dynamic impacts and slamming loads without adding weight to the construction.

Barcoo Drift - A fisherman´s dream

All other structural sections including bulkheads, hull soles, cabin sides, side decks, etc. were supplied as CNC-routed DuFLEX Component Packs cored with Divinycell H80. Providing excellent mechanical proper-ties and low weight, Divinycell H is an all-purpose grade with a proven track record in virtually every appli-cation area where sandwich composites are employed.

CUSTOMER SURVEY

Really positive results from our customer surveyA customer survey was conducted in June-July to identify, measure and develop Diab’s success factors. 249 telephone interviews were performed with customers from all over the world. The survey provides answers to important questions such as key customer requirements, strengths and weaknesses, how our customers rate Diab in our core areas and in which areas we need to improve and develop the most.

55% of these 249 customers are overall very satisfied with Diab as a supplier and 42% are satisfied. This is a great result, the best ever, and we are delighted to share it with you. We will use the result to implement projects and measures for improvement to develop key success fac-tors and increase customer satisfaction going forward.
