2007 years ago, they followed the star and found Baby Jesus

They will also bring gifts to children around the world.

They come from the orient, Middle East, through the

desierto desert…

on camellos, camels, like this one.

…to bring children regalos gifts.

On La Víspera de Reyes (the Eve of the Three Kings Day) children write letters explaining

that they • Have behaved during the year and

• Asking them for presents.

They also cut grass and get water for the camels.

After writing the letter,

They get ready to go to bed early.

•Se preparan para ir a la cama temprano

They have to be sleeping or the Reyes bypass the house.

Los Reyes need time to read the letters and feed the camels.

Grass, water and a letter is under their beds. And they happily fall

asleep.

The following day is the best of all!

They will find juguetes - toys,

Ropa - Clothes,

Dulces - Candies,

and sometimes dinero money.

Children have a week to enjoy their gifts and toys before they come back to school.(Around Jan. 13)

They get presents on December 25 as well as January 6.

While we wait for Santa and the Three Kings, let’s

look for the beauty in each of us, no matter where we come from. If we reach that point, we are allowing

holidays.
