I want to thank you again for coming forward when theemergency presented itself. You have made all our Lions organizationproud with your extremely generous response.
Our work is not completed yet for the year. Please accept my sincere|appreciation to those of us providing service in our community throughthe winter months. Do take time off and spend it with your family andloved ones. You have made me proud to serve as your DistrictGovernor this year.

The “Christmas Hamper “ was the first service by the club for our community to needy familiesafter supporting our District fundraising dinner for Philippines Disaster Relief in November.
The Christmas season is a good time to start thinking about helping other people. This includesproviding food, clothing, and toy's for families to enable them to experience the joy of theChristmas Season. Giving warmth, love and hope. That's what Christmas should be all about. A
time to share our good fortune with our neighbors in need across the world.Vancouver Legacy Lions Club delivered Christmas Hamper to needy families on

2nd Vice District Governor Eric Keller’s “ Talk of the Lions” :
Ladies & Gentlemen of Lions 19-A :
Love, Laughter & Joy !!
Well I certainly experienced all that over these last two weeks of 2013. Great family,
friends & Lions get-togethers, including a brilliant European Family re-union on Dec.
14 th . I cannot begin to tell you how much laughter and genuine joy we all experienced
that evening: cousins, nieces & nephews, grandchildren, long-time friends all recounting
our successful life stories and
combined experiences.
I look forward to a very positive
Lions year in 2014, a season of
re-growth, membership increases
and strong focus on community
projects, fellowship and
* service * ! Yes ~ we serve –
without reservation !!
Attached a photo of my last decadent “English” breakfast at the
Rochester Hotel in London ; it was utterly delicious ! But please don’t
show it to my cardiologist !! (Ha, ha, ha . . . ….) And a great picture of
Santa MC Cheryl & ‘moi’ at the Vancouver Diamond Lions Club
Christmas Brunch Party. That was a hilarious Gift Exchange and
fundraiser for the Richmond Food Bank Society. I also attended
Vancouver Cambie Lions Club Christmas Fundraising Dinner and took a
photo with the lovely president Lion Elsie.
HAVE A MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS 2014
Yours in Service & Fellowship,
Lion Eric R. Keller

Happy Holidays! The 2014 Northwest Lions Leadership Inst itu te is fast approaching and we still have anumber of spots to fill. We need your help to fill these last available spots.
One of the greatest feelings for many Lions, and people in general, is to be asked to be a part ofsomething they didn’t think they could do, but that someone else believed in them, and suddenly theireyes are opened . As a leader in your District, you are in touch with many great Lionseveryday. Look at the Lions around you and see the possibilities in them. Take this opportunity toapproach someone who would gain greatly from attending the Institute. That nudge from you could
be all they need to see the potential they have inside.
Invest in the future of your District! Encourage your Lions to invest in themselves by attending the 2014Leadership Institute. It’s not too late, do it today. Registration deadline is January 3, 2014.
February 6-9, 2014 in Bellevue, Washington – Visit our website at www.nwlli.org for all the details.

Fund raising activities carried out by theclubs have resulted in approximately $68,000.00 raised to date withanother $80,000.00 expected from the various Tree lots. Manyorganizations and people have received assistance through financialdonations or services provided. All the members should feel very proudof what we do in our communities.
