R3000 MEGA (1999-2005)

Often imitated, never equalled. In 1989 Dewulf reached a milestone with theintroduction of a self-propelled 3 wheel off-set potato harvester, with gooseneck

steering. The concept for which Dewulf received the Golden Spike award in 1990 at

the Brussels Agricultural Exhibition, outperforms all others thanks to its significantmanoeuvrability and capability to conquer extreme wet conditions. The risk on crop

damage is reduced to an absolute minimum, as the front wheels do not come into

contact with the ridges to be harvested. The revolutionary developed weight

partitioning provides unrivalled stability, ensuring smooth travel in the field and on the

road.

Since the moment the concept was introduced, we have carefully refined the machine,

but without changing what has made it great. A closer look at the machine immediately

Maintain the quality of your potatoes by

relying on the right harvesting gear

Whether you harvest fresh market potatoes, seed potatoes or potatoes for the processingindustry, mechanical damage results in substantial economic losses. The state-of-the-art R3060

self-propelled 2-row potato harvester with its cutting edge design minimizes this bruising,

eliminates dirt and maximises productivity.

Equipped with a digger web, followed by 2 sieving webs, the DewulfR3060 provides small drops and excellent sieving capacity. The 1st

sieving web is equipped with 3 agitators as standard. The agitators areadjustable in speed and can be switched on or off. An agitator in the

2nd sieving web is optional. The harvester features 2 hedgehog belts,

which are adjustable in speed and angle. Axial rollers are optional,

when intensive cleaning is required.

The intelligent styled haulm chopper fabricated out of durable Hardox

steel and equipped with depth control and side-shift, has a big

appetite for haulm and any weeds that stand in its way. Two slides at

the back underneath constantly detect the height of both ridges. Two

individually operated cylinders allow the haulm chopper to pivot

horizontally as well. Therefore it optimally follows the shape of the

ridges at all times. The automatic depth is programmed from the cab.

A haulm roller - thoughtfully positioned after the second web - or a

diviner web ensures effective separation and disposal of haulm inside

the harvester. The potatoes are smoothly transferred within the wide

high capacity ringelevator. The large volume pockets allow a slower

running speed of the ring elevator, reducing the risk of quality losses.

A static sorting platform provides comfortable room for 4 people to

stand on, before the potato flow reaches the 7 tonne hopper. A height

sensor at the end of the sorting table ensures a constant minimum

drop, by continuously altering the height upwards or downwards

according to the volume of potatoes in the hopper.4

Stopping in order to discharge the hopper costprecious time. During the harvest season, the

time factor is unfortunately not a luxury and in

most cases not on your side. Therefore the

R3060 standard model features unloading onthe move, in order to consistently deliver

maximum productivity. Unloading on the move

can boost your daily output by up to 25%.

The large 7 tonne hopper is fixed to the chassis

and has a moving part with gooseneck in order

to reach deep into the trailer. Master the entire

unloading process comfortably with your

fingertips, while enjoying an excellent view ofthe gooseneck and the trailer aside.

Thoughtfully engineered, the design of the

hopper blends stability, visibility, minimum

dropping height and easy operation from the

joystick. The hopper has the advantage of

entirely filling itself automatically, allowingyou to concentrate fully on the harvesting

process.

Master of the field. Anytime, anywhere.

Axial rollers

Especially in extreme wet conditions, harvested potatoestend to stick together in big clumps of soil. Within the

R3060, potatoes are transferred first over the wide bottom

hedgehog belt, where these clumps are divided and

separated. Thereafter they reach the axial rollers

(optional).

The lower hedgehog belt spreads the product evenly onthe axial rollers. Thanks to this excellent spread over the

total width, the potato flow takes full advantage of the

cleaning capability of the axial rollers. The various lengths

of the axial rollers ensure that the pockets of the ring

elevator are evenly filled over the full width.

The running speed of the axial rollers is variably

adjustable. The parallel construction allows the operator

to change the angle of the axial rollers, without changing

the angle of the lower hedgehog belt. Thanks to the

parallel hinge mechanism between the 3rd web, hedgehog

belt and axial rollers, all the drops remain constant.

Hedgehog belts

Standard the R3060 is equipped with 2hedgehog belts. The hedgehog belts deliver

supreme output, as a result to their wide

surface coverage and the ability to alter the

angle and speed to the current conditions.

In fact, you can reduce rollback of tubers to

a minimum by allowing the hedgehog belts

to carry out more soil, instead of only

depending on the agitators. Reducingagitation provides the opportunity to keep

sufficient soil until it reaches the last web,

creating solid support and minimizing

rollback of tubers. Less agitation contributes

to a substantial decrease of quality losses

and increases profit margins.

belts and axial rollers outperforms the rest of

the industry in the area of separation of soil

and clods.

APC (Automatic Pressure Control)

Depending on the weather, the carrying capability ofthe ridges is likely to change. APC enables theoperator to program and regulate the pressure on the

ridges, enhancing crop intake. Blend in with the

current conditions in the field in the most optimal

way.

DSC (Dewulf Synchronisation Control)

Lets face it; rolling potatoes is a commodity we canlive without. When there is not sufficient soil carried

on the webs, it is possible that potatoes start rolling

due to lack of support, which directly results inquality losses. These situations are common, when for

example you start harvesting at the beginning of the

rows or at times you suddenly have to reduce speed.

Your driving speed at that moment is significantly

slower than the running speed of the webs.

With DSC, the issue of rolling back potatoes is now

confined to the past. DSC allows the operator to

exactly match the speed of the webs with the travel

speed in the field.

Where other harvesters have their webs running at

one speed at all times, the Dewulf R3060 feeds up the

potato ridge gently by continuously altering the

speed of the webs according to the acceleration speed

in the field. A first class solution to minimise

bruising: tackling the problem in advance is more

efficient than trying to cure afterwards.

ADC (Automatic Depth Control)

Spec your harvester with ADC in case you have tocombat hilly fields. ADC ensures that the harvesting

channel optimally follows the shape of both ridges

over the full width, by consistently detecting the

ground level.

With the latest engine technology, the R3060 takes performanceto the next level. The new Deutz TCD 2013 Common Rail engines

generate a massive 310 horsepower and exceptional economy. More

torque, less fuel and less maintenance. By switching on the

economy mode, the engine rpms will be automatically altered to

the load encountered. During normal field operation, the enginerevs up to 1900 rpms and still provides plenty of reserve power. A
