I am a fourth year student studying Television and Film Production at the University of Portsmouth. I undertook a placement year in my third year, working as a media intern at Family Church Portsmouth. I would like to work with Devoted Films, as I am passionate about working in the TV and Film Industry. I admire the high quality videos that Devoted Films produces, that capture the client’s needs. I am keen to gain further experience to enhance my video filmmaking and editing skills as I have an interest in being involved with wedding and corporate photography and video filmmaking/editing. During my placement year I developed and enhanced my filming and editing skills. The projects I was involved in allowed me to enhance my attention to detail in work I am involved in. I am confident in using Adobe Premiere Pro and I can also use Adobe After Effects. I currently have an Adobe Creative Cloud account. Through the skills I learnt, I am organizing the photography and videography for two weddings in June and July and I will also be a videographer photographer on the June wedding. I will be editing the videos for both these weddings. I am confident that I can reproduce Devoted Film’s style and quality. As a result, I have developed excellent communication, team working and problem-solving skills. Essentially, they taught me how to cope well under pressure and to remain friendly, confident and calm in difficult situations. I am happy to provide any further information you may require to consider my request and I hope that you will consider my application for the next stage of the selection process. Thank you for considering my application. Yours sincerely, Caroline Gachathi
