Late D evonian trilobites from horizons close to the Frasnian-Famennian boundary in
the S hogram Formation at K ur~gh, Ch itral (NW Pakistan) are described. A new species of
Asteropyginae,Neocalmo nia chitralensis sp. nov ., and a new subpecies,Neocalm onia batillifera
orientalis subsp, nov., are described; hese exten d he range of Asteropyginae eastwards from
Iran and southern Afghanistan. The Upp er Kellwasser Event is located within KUR 19 o f
