A. DEVELOPMENTAL DATA
D.1) Erik Erikson
According to Eriksons theory of psychosocial development life is a sequence of
developmental stages that need to be achieved by individuals. There are eight stagesof development that either have a positive or negative resolution. Each stage
indicates a developmental achievement. He believed that the more success an
individual achieve at each stage means the healthier the personality of the individual.
And failure to complete any developmental stage influences the persons ability to
progress to the next level. Successful resolution of these crises supports a healthier
development of the individual.
In the case of Mr. X he is now on the seventh stage of Erik Eriksons
psychosocial theory which is Generativity vs. Stagnation which focuses on creativity,
productivity, concern for others.

Mr. X is an active memberof the community. He
cooperates and participatesin some different
community activities. Heshows his concern to otherpeople by lending a handwhenever they need help.

D.2) Robert Havighurst
According to Havighurst theory, learning is the basis to life and that peoplecontinue to learn throughout life; he promoted the concept of developmental task; his
theory have six developmental stage of life; success achievement leads to
individuals happiness and to success with later task in life, while failure in achieving
the task leads to individuals unhappiness, and disapproval by the society.

patient Mr. X belongs to:
TASK COPING ACTION ANALYSIS
1. Achieving adultand socialresponsibility
Mr. X is an active member ofthe community heparticipates in differentactivities in their community.

2. Establishing andmaintaining an
economicstandard of living
Mr. X starts to work at theage of 16 as a blue collar
worker. At the age of 21years old he flew abroad towork as a welder for sevenyears. He came back andstarted to work as aconstruction worker. Hesupports the familys needtogether with his son.

3. Assisting teenage
children tobecomeresponsible andhappy adults.
Three of Mr. Xs children are
teenagers, and according tohim he always teaches themhow to be responsible to allthe things they do. He givesthem advices from time totime and he always remindsthem to finish their study. Hemakes sure that his childrenare well disciplined.

The patient is very busy atwork and he doesnt haveany time for any otheractivities. He just spends hisfree time by listening to theradio.

The patient have a godrelationship with his wife,they are married for about _years and was blessed with
seven sprouts.

Mr. x accepted that he isgetting old and that there area lot of changes happeningto him, such as having whitehairs and experiencing hairloss.

7. Adjusting to agingparents. His father had passed away,while his mother is living withhis sister. They have a goodrelationship and he makessure that he always visits hismother.

The clients

He also works as aconstruction workerfrom seven oclock inthe morning until fiveoclock in theafternoon.
EMOTIONAL
Mr. X is a silent type ofperson he usually justlistens and speakswhen needed. Andhes also a gleefulperson. He shows
concern to others byhelping them in his fullcapability.
He still is silent andgleeful; he doesnttalk about to hisfamily on how hefeels physically. Henever thought that
the tinglingsensation he felt atfirst will worsen.
According to his son,Mr. X become moresilent, he alwaysthinks about his workand the things heneed to do. He wants
to be discharge fromthe hospital and getback to his normal life.
MENTAL
Mr. x is always orientedand he have a goodmemory when it comes
to time, place, date andperson.
His mental statuswas not affected itwas still functional.
But he has anapprehension withhis health conditionand what will be theeffects of this to hiswork and especiallyto his family.
He remains to have agood memory and stillwell oriented despite
of his disease, butdespite of having aserious illness hesstill worried about hiswork and his family.

Mr. xs religion isIglesia ni Cristo, heattends to churchregularly everyWednesday andSunday. He have astrong faith to God andfrequently pray for the
guidance andblessings.
His faith to God andto his religion wasnot disturbed by hisdisease. He stillcontinue going tochurch everyWednesday andSunday.
Even though he havea serious problem.According to him, hegot closer to God andhis faith got strongerbecause of thisunfortunate event.
