The Championship Program is focused on preparing our ath- letes to represent TEAM USA! The UWW Junior Championship Program takes place over the sum- mer and includes two camps and two championship tour opportuni- ties. Due to high volumes and costs, our camps have moved from the Olympic Training Center this summer. The first camp will take place at Simpson College May 29 - June 9th. Athletes flying in should use the Des Moines Airport. The second camp will take place at McKendree University August 19 - 29th. Athletes flying in should use the St. Louis Airport. Please note that the first and last day of camp are travel days. Athletes are responsible for their own transportation to/from camp fee. Body Bar National Champions at UWW Interna- tional weights will be asked to represent Team USA at the Junior World Championships in France August 30 - Sept 4th. Body Bar Na- tional Runner - Ups will be asked to represent Team USA at the Junior Pan American Championships in June 10 - 12 in Venezuela. Funding is available for these trips, however it is dependent upon participation in both championship camps. The UWW Junior Development Program takes place throughout the school

year. There are five, four day development program camps in which athletes work with National Coaches and Volunteer Coaches. Athletes are responsible for camp fee and transportation to and from camps. These camp dates and

locations for the 2016-2017 year can be found below. There are two develop-ment tours each year in order to for athletes to gain international experience. Development tours this year are the Lady Klippan Open in Klippan, Sweden as well as the Grand Prix of Spain in Madrid, Spain. Athletes receive funding for participation in these tours by attending camp. Camp and tour information

will be sent out to the email to each athlete and parent/guardian. Development Funding Structure

Body Bar Champions who attend two of the five development camps earn two fully funded development tours

Body Bar Runner Ups who attend two of the five development camps earn one fully funded development tour

Body Bar Third Place Finishers who attend two of the five develop-ment camps earn 1/2 funding for one development tour

*Attending less than two camps will result in no funding. Tentative Development Camp Dates & Locations
