•Lithuanian Quitline was born in 2006;
OBJECTIVES:• to provide help, support and advises for those who want to quit smoke;• to train health care and education professionals and to create their network, that could help and support those smokers who want to quit;• to organize activities (actions, competitions etc.) orientated to prevention and primary intervention of smoking;

•We joined European Network of Quitlines in 2006;
•Lithuanian Quitline organised trainings „Forming attitude on Healthy lifestyle- help for smoking quiters“ in 2008, 2009 in 8 cities of Lithuania; more then 3000 of medics, pedagogues,social workers, socialeducators, policemen and etc. had possibility to improve their qualification on training courses;
• Methodical material-handbook “The strengthening of addicted personality” was published;

All Public Health biuros participates;
„Flower instead of cigarette“
On 31st of May about 5000 white flowers with Quitlines number on it were given to smokers in cities; 27 biuros were involved;
“Take care of Yourself”
Pupils were spreading leaflets about Quitline in there living areas;
25 biuros were participating;
“Smoke free Europeans Awards”
more then 25000 leaflets about tobacco damage and Quitline information were spread;
25 biuros were participating;
“The hands of friendship”
Youth is educated to become lectures for their younger colleagues;About 2000 of pupils participated and they all spread information about Quitline;
