• It is not a personal trait ( meaning some people have it and others don’t )

• It is not a constant, can differ from situation to situation in the same person ( e.g. Reading)

• Just because you are unmotivated does not mean that you are lazy, may be you haven’t found the right motivator

• Intrinsic Motivators: A person’s internal desire to do something, due to such thing as interest, challenge and personal satisfaction

• Extrinsic Motivators: Motivation that comes from outside the person, such as pay, bonus, and other tangible rewards
