The Problem
• 75% of Indiana teachers do not own a passport• 70% of Indiana population reside in rural areas• 1/3 of Indiana schools have fewer than 100
students per grade level• Students who have never traveled out of state
are common in both urban and rural areas• Much of our population does not value travel
for learning
