WHAT IS BREWLOCK?BrewLock is a revolutionary new dispensing system developed by Heineken to bring brewery fresh beer to the consumer. While standard keg systems use complicated, expensive gas and regulator systems to pressurize beer to the tap, the BrewLock system relies on normal atmospheric air to squeeze the inner wall and push beer through to the faucet.
HOW DOES BREWLOCK WORK?By forcing compressed air in between the outer bottle and inner container, the inner container is compressed, pushing beer out of the keg into the beer line. HOW IS BREWLOCK DIFFERENT FROM A STANDARD KEG SYSTEM?BrewLock does not require a traditional CO2 or mixed gas system to
dispense beer, but rather a unique compressor operation that pushes the
beer to the faucet.
HOW IS POURING A BEER FROM BREWLOCK DIFFERENT FROM A STANDARD DRAUGHT BEER SYSTEM? Pouring a beer works exactly the same. When the keg is empty the
beer flow simply stops. There is reduced spurting after changing a keg
because there are no compressed gases in the line. Pouring a perfect
serving of beer has never been easier.
WILL NEW BEER LINES NEED TO BE INSTALLED FOR BREWLOCK KEGS?No, the BrewLock system easily connects to pre-existing lines and
requires no intensive labor to install.

LINE CLEANING PROCEDURE – RECIRCULATION METHOD
During line cleaning, the keg must remain pressurized to avoid de-carbonation
Detach the beer coupler from the air coupler by twisting counter-clockwise
Make sure the air coupler stays connected to the keg to maintain pressurization
LINE CLEANING PROCEDURE – RECIRCULATION METHOD
Attach beer coupler to wall mounted cleaning head assembly and secure with protective cap
Attach jumper line from BrewLock cleaning adapter to flusher assembly. Follow all normal safety procedures.
LINE CLEANING PROCEDURE – STATIC CLEANING CAN METHOD

POS MATERIALS SAFETY
Packaging under pressure, handle with care
Avoid bumping the keg
Do not pierce or cut the keg
Do not spill chemicals on the keg
Do not use cleaning agents on the keg
Do not place the keg in direct sun light
Do not try to remove the beer valve from the keg
Only use in combination with the BrewLock system EasyFit coupler and
compressed air from the supplied Draught System Compressor Unit (DSCU).

POS MATERIALS
Do not exceed the max allowable working pressure of 43.5 psi (3 BAR), internal relief valve is set at 53 psi (3.6 BAR). In the event that the appliance is damaged on delivery, contact the supplier immediately before connecting to the mains.
Each DSCU will be provided with an installation and operation manual. Read this manual and follow all the safety instructions.
To guarantee safe operation, ensure that the DSCU is set up and connected as described in the installation manual of the DSCU.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains if any fault occurs. Pull out the plug.
When disconnecting the appliance, pull on the plug, not on the cable.
BrewLock kegs are 100% recyclable | The outer cardboard carton can be recycled with normal cardboard recycling | BrewLock PET Keg must be returned to distributor for proper processing
POS MATERIALSTECHNICAL FAQ1. Is there any regular scheduled maintenance needed for the compressor and what is its lifespan? Keep in a dry area, ideally outside of the cooler, and occasionally check for dust around the fan – the expected lifespan of the compressor is 10 years. Same for normal function, and cleaned regularly with a brush and food-grade safe cleaning agent.
2. Can the BrewLock compressor be inside the cooler? Yes, as long as it is in a clean and dry space but it is recommended to store outside the cooler. 3. Can the BrewLock kegs be stacked? Yes. They can be stored horizontally when they are untapped and secured in the outer cardboard carton. They need to be kept vertical during dispensing.
4. Can we use an existing CO2 connection instead of air compressor? Will that system work? Is it safe to do? No. This is a safety risk as the BrewLock compressor is specifically designed to work with BrewLock technology only.
5. Can you pour BrewLock when the keg is in a horizontal position? No, BrewLock kegs must be vertical when tapped for dispensing.
6. How long of a run can the BrewLock compressor handle? Length of run is dependent on system operating pressure with regard to length & elevation. Compressor maximum output is 44 psi. Recommended maximum length of beer line run with no elevation from keg to faucet is 180 ft.
7. Can the BrewLock compressor handle multiple lines? Yes, a BrewLock compressor can be used to run up to two BrewLock kegs, but also with respect to the overall length and elevation of the run - both kegs and faucets must be at the same elevation from one another, and relatively the same length of beer line. If running two BrewLock lines whether split or separate kegs, you may notice a slight decrease in flow rate if both faucets are opened simultaneously, but this will not cause under- or over- carbonated pours.
POS MATERIALSTECHNICAL FAQ TROUBLESHOOTINGNo beer flow:• Ensure check ball in beer coupler is not stuck• Check that the compressor is running properly• Check that the compressor pressure is properly set• Check air line does not have any kinks• Check if beer coupler is properly attached to air coupler• Check that keg has beer• If a FOB is installed, check to see that the FOB valve is open, float is up, and the FOB is full of beer, and no foam
Beer is foaming:• Check to make sure the ambient temperature of the cooler is no higher than 38°F, and that the beer is dispensing at or below this temperature as well• Check that the pressure is properly set on the compressor• Was the BrewLock keg recently delivered? It could have been agitated and needs to settle, or may not be to proper temperature upon delivery
Beer is dispensing too fast and causing too much foam:• Decrease the pressure setting on the compressor to achieve a proper flow rate between 2-2.5 ounces of beer per second
Beer is dispensing too slowly or is ‘funneling’ at the faucet• Increase the pressure setting on the compressor to achieve proper flow rate between 2-2.5 ounces of beer per second• Disconnect the keg, empty the line, remove, dismantle and clean the beer faucet, including the air hole on the underside
