POWER AMD FLEXIBILITY THE ENGINE5,

DEUTZ engines are extremely du-

rable. And their high-tech injection

technology makes them verilable fuel

economizers protectìng the environ-

ment Designed far rugged perform

ance, ihey toii away untiringly having

gutsy power in resen/e. DEUTZ engines

are known worldwide for durability

reliability and fuel efficiency. From

AGROXTI^ 4.07 up (53 kW/72 hp), thcy

have a thermostat-controlied cooling

air blower Ali engines can also run on

bio-diesel.

New-generaHon DEUTZ diesel power the AGBOXTRA and AcRoPKimÀ tration, giving fhem ihat extra agìUty.

SUPER-QUICK ANDTRULYFLiXIBLi.

Direct injection permits the enginc to

respond easily to the acceleratorpedal

and develop full power in no time at ali.

High flexibilityat maximum torque, little

torque decline of only 30% and steep

torque rìse of more than 20% for fast

manocuvring and acccfcration when

hauling Ioads. High flexibility under

heavy traction and PIO Ioads. Benefits:

betteracreage performance and shorter

haulage times. As there's less shifting

to be do ne.

TURBO POWER FOR

EVEN MORE PERFORMANCE.

On ACROXTRA traaors 4.47, 4.57 and

AGROPRIMA tractors 4.51, 4.56 turbos

boost engine power by forcing more

combustion air into the cylinders du-

ring each cyde. More fuel can be

injected, giving a bigger "bang" under

compression and a higher torque rise.

Benefits: stili better torque characteris-

tJcs and an optimized power output

while the fuel consumption remains

low.

ACCURA7ELY METERED

FUEL INJECTigM QUANTITY.

The injection system assures optimized

combustion. Fuel is injected by the

nozzles in exactly metered quantities

that are delivercd to the Individuai cylin

ders by the single elements of the

in-linc injection pump. The injection

pump has fully automatic lubrication

and does not require any setvicing.

A high-capacHy turbocharger wffft pulse-iharging boosts the engine power and assures good torque back' up also in the lower speed rango.

DEUTZ-FAHR engineers bave taken

care to provide good access io al! parts

requiring sen'ice. Ali work can be per-

formed at the flick of a wrist To check

orclean the air fUteryou just remove the

side panel or front grille, without need

of tools. Oil level check on engine, top-

ping up or changing oil are carried out

without the^side panels having to be

removed. Aircooied engines only

require an occasionai check of the

V'belt tension.

Adjustmcnt by mcans of the toothcd

tensioning device will only take a few

seconds.

On AGROXTRA iractors 3.57,4.07 and 4.i7,

the power is transmitted by a fully

synchronized transmission with 16 ior-

ward and 8 reverse gears. Induding the

creeper range, there are up to 24 for-

The transmission has particularly finely

graduated speed ratios in the 4 to

high range for on-road seivice permit

fast changing - that saves a tot of

The front drive axle is designed for

good centrai drive, manoeuvring:

balanced steering cylinders, and a large

steering lock angle of 50°.

BQUAL TURNS OF STEERING WNEEL 70 RIGHI OR LEF7.

High direzionai vehide stability

on-road is acbieved by the balanced

steering cylinders. Steering forces and

turns of the steering wheei are equal,

whether the operator turns to the right

orleft This is a welcome feature when

cultivating row crops. A separate oÌl cir-

cuit with higli-capactty pump supplies

the steering hydraulics. Benefit: quick

and reliable steering response even

when working with front Ioadcr

under heavy Ioad and at low engine

speed.

STRIKIN6LY HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE.

No problem to operate the tractorover

high crops andswaths. With high opcra-

tional reliability. The centrai drive shaft

of the 4-WD axle is protected over its

full length with a wrap guard.

DIRECT PTO DRIVE EOR HIGH POWER.

The PTOs bave direct drive from the

engine assuring pùiilcuìarly high cffi-

operated independcntly and may be

engaged under Ioad.

different oil brands or unnecessary

heating are tbus avoided. The oil retains

its properties formuch longer periods

And what is more: Engine, transmission

oil brand. ^

The tottfrol levers for the remote vahfes are lotafed to the rìght of the driver's seat and are numhered to avoid tonfusion.

OPTIMIZED ACRiAGE

PERFORMANCE BY ELECTRONIC

WNEEL SLIP CONTROL.

Electronicwheel slip control in conjunc-

tion with a radar sensor guarantees full

exploitalion of the tractoi^s potentia!

when ploughing. With wheeI slip

control engaged (by pressing the

key in the control panel), even the

slightest difference between actual and

theoretical ground speed is sensed

and a signal is given to the hydraulic lift

The control mechanics then quickly

transfers weight from the ìmplcmcnt

to the tractor, counteracting the wheeI

slip. Benefits: uniform working depth,

improved acreage performance, lower

fuel consumption, and an operator

who can work with greatcr ease.

ACTIVE VIBRATION DAMPING,

In on-road transport sen/ice with

mounted implcments, tractor and

implement may buHd up vibrations.

With ACROTRONIC-hD, Ioad sensing

pins on the lower links measure the

vibrations andtransmit them to the e/ec-

tronic control box. This processes the

signais and starting from 8 km/h ground

speed automatically raises and lowers

the lift cylinders so that the vibrations

are effectively compensated. Benefits:

hazardous pitcbing movcmcnts are

effectively reduced, which improves

safety on the road, driving comfort and

component stress Ioad.
