Summary: The people were ready to enter the Prom-ised Land. This was a new generation. Most had not personally experienced life in Egypt, the plagues, the mi-raculous escape, or the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai. Moses reminded the people of God’s laws and again en-couraged them to obey, love, serve, and fear God alone.
God’s message was clear: He is the only Lord, and He would bless the people’s obedience and curse their sin.
About God: God is holy, just, merciful, and faithful. His children are to love Him with all their heart, soul, and strength.
