Below are some screenshots to make you aware of what is already implemented in DesSoft’s new version V4.3.

Yes, we wanted to release our Version 5 this year, but not all software user controls were ready to go “metro style”, so the route we decided on is that with every possible release, we will introduce a new re-written module into V4 until we reach the full V5 release.

The reason why we chose the metro simulated style is that our software will be Windows 8, Windows 7 and XP compatible, but still give you the benefit of a simplified and less cluttered user interface, that will also work with touch screens. We also listened to your ideas and as far as possi-ble we have tried to accommodate them.

2013 will be full of NEW software coming your way!

NEW Concurrent User Manager (CUM) will now run as a windows service. In the screenshot below one will be able to see the licenses used by the service, to stop and start the service and to activate the licenses for the service.

NEW License Manager: One does not have to login on our website, but will be able to manage one’s licenses directly from this application, generate new license codes and download the latest software for your valid subscription, no thinking of what is the latest and requesting a download from DesSoft, everything is handled here! Coloured tiles to make your application licenses easily recognizable with all necessary information displayed in each tile.

NEW Datasheets - Startup screen: Datasheets will now also be available in the P&ID application! Depending from which application the Datasheet module is opened it will display the relevant datasheets, below shows the datasheets from the P&ID module where the various discipline’s datasheets need to be shared to all. One can also immediately see if a datasheet has multiple tag numbers…

NEW Datasheets – with the Excel document opened: The documents can now be in xls or xlsx format and it is not using MS Excel to view the document, although it can be opened within MS Excel, thus the new datasheet module is using our own independent spreadsheet control.

NEW Query and Macro Editor: Easy to create and see the different type of queries where the new Macro editor allows one to test each section on its own, without first copying it into a test query.

NEW Query editor — SQL view

NEW Query Editor—Graphic view: At the bottom one can also see the SQL representation of the selection and criteria section, as set in the graphical part of the editor.

NEW Query Editor—Export Data: From the query editor’s data view one can export the query data (information) into various formats and as one can see below, also into xlsx format. It also overcomes some limitations that we had on the previous xls export engine.
