Ferries
Much of Sydney Harbour’s ferries and boat operators (lunch cruises, whale watching and jet boats) operate from Circular Quay. You can reach Balmain, Manly and Watsons Bay (amongst other suburbs) by ferry.
Trains
There are numerous trainlines into the City and the main railway stations are Central, Town Hall and Wynyard. Use this railway map to see which line you need. NSW TrainLink runs regular services to Newcastle, Woollongong and Katoomba (Blue Mountains), these are also on the Sydney network and are priced accordingly.
Call 13 22 32.
tickets offer more or less distance so if travelling beyond the city centre check the fine print or ask customer service for more details.
