Involved in design of the one of the major inter-

section in the heart of city at the Safdarjang-

AIIMS intersection opened in year 2003. The

project as a whole consisting of one curved

bridge-6 lanes(110m radius),one 5 lanes skew

bridge, few underpasses and subways and few

hundred meter long retaining wall of varying

height from 1.0m to 8.0m at discrete locations.

Involved in design of the major intersection un-

der construction at Dhaula Kuna intersection.

The project as whole consisting of two curved

bridge, one straight bridge,few underpasses and

subways and few hundred meter long retaining

wall of varying height from 1.0m to 8.0m at dis-

crete locations.

Westernly Diversion on NH-4 flyover(Pune By-pass)

Involved as key personnel in design of the flyover at Pune

By-Pass on NH-4 between Km 28/800 to 29/700. The flyo-

ver has 5 span (42.5m+48.5m+52m+48.5m+38.77m) mod-

ule continuous unites constructed using prestressed box

girders. The fixed pier is resting on open foundation on

Rocky strata and remaining foundations are constructed

using 1.0m dia cast-in-situ load bearing piles socketed . All

piers are circular piers of 2.75m dia each except for fixed

pier. Fixed pier is made in hollow circular section of varying

diameter of 4.0m at base to 2.75m at top.

Consultancy Works :

Spent all the Years in IIT for Development and cosultancy works

in addition to teaching.

Developed a special computer program for Ministry of Surface

and Transport of the Govt. of India for analyzing simply support-

ed bridge decks of right, skew and curved plan shapes and solid

tee and Box cross sections using the grillage analogy. With a

minimum input overall geometry and loading on the deck, the

structure is automatically modeled into an appropriate grillage for

both static and moving loads. The output gives the design force

envelope for members and support.

Has completed move than 120 consultancy projects during the

last 30 years with IIT. The works varied in nature from analysis,

design and testing of building and bridges to development of

materials and rehabilitation of structures.
