Model, fashion icon and designer for her own label, ále by Alessandra, Alessandra Ambrosio tells us about her inspiration as a designer and advice to

achieve her casual, chic and effortlessly-cool style.

On why she decided to launch her brand…We just launched swimwear in November of last year, so it was natural to add a hat collection next, since every woman should have an amazing hat to keep cool during hot summer days. The story of how her line came to be…Personally I lean towards bohemian chic style because I love flowy dresses and layered pieces so I wanted to create a collection for woman inspired by the world around her – family, travel, books and everyday life and that is how ‘ale by Alessandra was born. The most exciting milestones for her company…We launched apparel in April of 2014, and we have already expended the collection to swimwear and now hats and bags.

What people don’t know about designing an accessory line…

It takes a long time to create a prod-uct and every little detail is important

How she plans to grow her com-

pany…Right now I focusing all my energy on designing new seasons, but there are few things in the works that are

upcoming in 2015.

How to stay true to your vision…I am very passionate about creating a product that is true to my vision, and I work with amazing team that makes sure every pieces of clothing we pro-

duce is exactly what I envisioned.

The best career advice she’s ever received…

My mom always thought me to be persistent in anything you do. Noth-ing comes easily so it is important to set goals and work on making them

a reality

Her muses and inspirations…My biggest inspirations in life are my

children.

How she shops for personal items…

I am a creature of habit. I know what I like and I go to same places

most of the time.

swimwear and clothing as well as great pair of sunglasses

The trick to finding the perfect hat.. It is important to find a perfect hat that compliments your features so

don’t be afraid to try as many as pos-sible, and I believe my collection has

something for everyone.

Stay true to yourself. Usually your first instincts are correct
