VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Opportunities for Life, the Kentucky Catholic Bishop’s life-affirming ministry to

women and families dealing with untimely pregnancies, is welcoming new volunteers. OFL will be

offering training workshops in your diocese. OFL volunteers offer hope, compassion, options counseling

and resources to callers who find the courage to seek help. Volunteers are needed to staff the 24 hour

helpline from their homes. If you have a heart for life affirming ministry service, you are invited to

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION: Baptisms, First Reconciliation and Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage, require

preparation before entering life in the Sacraments. First Reconciliation, 1st Holy Communion, and Confirmation, all require a minimum of one year of religious education before sacramental preparation can begin. Call Laura for more info, 227-4511.

Student REP (Religious Education Program): Each Wednesday, 6:15-7:30 in the school building. No REP on Ash Wednesday,

February 10th. Parish Lenten Penance Service is Tuesday, February 16th. Reconciliation is offered each Wednesday evening through

SENIOR SHEPHERDS: will host their monthly pot luck lunch on Tuesday, January 19th at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Life Center. Bring a friend and your favorite dish to share and come fellowship with us. Meat and drinks will be provided. COLLEGE STUDENTS: We are looking for our parishioners who are in college so we can send them some encouragements and keep them in touch with their home parish of GSCC. ACTIVE LIVING MOVEMENT CLASS: Active Living classes beg n for the third year Classes are every Monday

HELP AND HOPE FOR STRUGGLING MARRIAGES: Do you have little or no communication in your marriage? Are you thinking of separation or divorce, or are you already separated or divorced but want to try again? Retrouvaille is a peer ministry for hurting marriages, consists of a Weekend experience and six additional four-hour-long Post Weekend Sessions. ALTAR SERVERS: We are going to have our first refresher training on Sunday, January 31 after the 10:30 Mass. We need to update servers on their duties at the Mass and what is expected of them. Father Charles will be here to assist and go over some of the things he likes to see the servers doing. This is a great chance to get the information straight from Father!

PATRIOTIC ROSARY: will be held Sunday, January 17 at 6:00 p.m. Please join us for this special devotion honoring our Blessed Mother as we pray for the needs of our country. DIOCESAN COLLECTION: January 16-17 is the weekend designated for the Annual Collection to support Opportunities for Life. Opportunities for Life is a life affirming ministry of the Bishops of Kentucky. The OFL ministry is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to offer confidential, non-judgmental emotional support, and information to those affected by an untimely pregnancy. Please be generous in your support of this ministry.

which go towards the school and parish, hosted regular

Schools Week, and held family enrichment events. Plans for

this month include Internet Safety and Bullying to be held on

January 11th.
