DESIGNING A 50-55 PASSENGER AIRCRAFT.

DESIGNING A 50-55 PASSENGER AIRCRAFT.(Progress report)By: Sarvodhya and Ankush.

Objective of ProjectThe aim of this design project is to design a 50-55 passenger and test different types of wing designs to determine the optimum performance of aircraft by comparing the data and specifications of present aircrafts in this category. To produce a commercial analysis of the aircraft project.

Phases of Designing. There are a total of three different phases in the process of designing an aircraft.Conceptual design.Preliminary design.Detailed design.Aerodynamic.PropulsionStructuralAircraft systems.

SEVEN INTELLECTUAL POINTS FOR CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

Requirements. We have to design a light, business transport aircraft which will carry 50-55 passengers, 2 pilots and two 2 flight attendents.

Max. speed: 360mi./h (600km/h).Range: 935mi.(1500km)Ceiling: 25,000ft.R/C: 7m/s(22.97ft/sec).Stalling speed: 90mi./hr(145km/hr).
