Overview Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) along with global leaders in Design Thinking, NoTosh, are offering schools and individuals the unique opportunity to be a part of the Design Thinking for Learning (DT4L) movement.

This one-day session will give you insight and understanding into the world of Design Thinking and how you can best implement the model in your own school or classroom context.

If you find yourself saying, ‘I’ve heard this Design Thinking term a lot recently but don't really know too much about it’, or asking, ‘What exactly is Design Thinking and how does it inform what I might do in my classroom?’, then this one-day, immersive introduction to DT4L is for you.

Design Thinking for Learning Exclusively for ISV Member Schools, the DT4L Bootcamp explores the NoTosh Design Thinking Process as a model of inquiry. This one-day introduction to DT4L will give you the confidence to explore concepts around the Design Thinking inquiry process and implement ideas that will have a lasting impact.

Teams and/or individuals from schools will immerse themselves in the program, exploring the different ways to effectively and creatively engage students in their learning.

By the end of the session, you will have examined and discussed a number of innovative ideas and will walk away with practical solutions to take back to your school and try for yourself.

Impact The one-day introductory session will equip you with tools and ideas to take back to your classroom and use the very next day. The session will push you to challenge assumptions, shift your mindset and engage with new ideas and activities around Design Thinking. You will walk away refreshed and ready to take on your next challenge.

Immersion - How do we get ideas rolling?

Synthesis - How might we rethink teaching and learning in our school?

Ideation - How do we know what’s going to work in real life?

Prototyping - Have we done what we set out to do?

Feedforward - What do we do with all this information?
