Romancing the Stone Natural stone looks are always popular in sheet vinyl, and thanks to advancements

in printing technology, such as EIR, those visuals are more realistic and appealing

than ever.

“Typically, what you see going on in real tile and stone visuals, we’re going to have

those visuals in sheet vinyl,” Sheehan said, adding that IVC and Mohawk’s sheet vinyl

designers attend tile and stone trade shows, keeping their �nger on the pulse of the

next big trends.

be riskier for people to put that on their �oors, and when you’re talking about sheet

vinyl as opposed to tile, you’re really committing to putting it across the whole �oor,”

she said. But color can help make a statement without being overwhelming.

Prints & Patterns Dyczko-Riglin said patterned �ooring is trending right now. “It had been aspirational

from a �ooring standpoint, but now we can bring that to the consumer and say, youcan get that on a tighter budget, you can still make it part of your remodel or yournew home and have the look you want,” she explained. Popular patterns includechevron, herringbone, and vintage and retro prints.

Patterns like chevron and herringbone, seen here in IVC’s Flexitec sheet vinyl, are alsopopular in tile and hardwood.

Inspired by vintage ornate metalwork, Filigree from Mannington is a weathered, timewornlook with a vintage �oral motif. Its weathered, hand-painted pattern lends authenticity tothe design.
