Design Innovation Centre, University of Delhi (DUDIC) invites applications from UG Students with a career pursuit in the field of design innovation to join “national initiative for setting up of design innovation centres, open design schools & national design innovation network.” for internship in the project “Delhi Maker’s Map”(Description attached below)
The appointments shall be purely on contractual basis for the period specified and terminable even before without assigning any reasons thereof and without prior notice. The term may be renewed based on satisfactory performance as per University of Delhi Rules.
APPLICATION PROCESS AND INFORMATION:
1. Interested candidates must provide the following in a single email to [email protected] with subject “DUDIC INTERN APPLICATION”
• A cover letter with statement of objective (1 Page Max.)
• Current updated CV and/or digital portfolio
2. Applications received before 5 pm, 21st February, 2017 will be considered for selection.3. The list of candidates selected shall be posted on the CIC website (https://ducic.ac.in) after
one week of the last date of receipt of application, no separate intimation will be sent to shortlisted candidates.

Delhi Maker’s Map Project (DMMP)Design Innovation Centre | University of Delhi
Project Description
Delhi NCR region is one of the biggest electronic and hardware market. The market however is not much maker friendly and a lot of effort is required to navigate and locate the item of interest. The areas like Chawri Bazar, Bhagirath Place, Pahar Ganj, Chuna Mandi, Anand Parvat etc. can cater the requirement of young makers, hackers and DIY enthusiasts. The DMMP project aims to build a web based crowd sourced map to integrate the location, accessibility, products and services profiling and customer experience. The platform shall be crowd sourced and users can later contribute to the building of the database. The service shall be accessible through Google Map and Openstreet Map and MapServer hosted by Design Innovation Centre, University of Delhi.
