Job Title: Director Appointed by: Board of Directors Term of Oﬃce: Three years rering by rotaon Main Purpose of job: Directors have the responsibility of establishing, guiding and assessing the overall direcon of Design in Mental Health Network Main dues and responsibilies: Directors are expected to be cognisant of the Memorandum of Associaon and the policy on good governance, parcularly with regard to conﬂict of interest, when acng on behalf of the DIMHN. Directors are expected to work together to set the strategic direcon of the network. A director should make a serious commitment to parcipate acvely in Board work leading on work streams as required and reporng back in a mely manner. A director not advancing the work of the agreed workstream may be replaced. Directors should be present for the full duraon of the annual conference and exhibion, usually held in May. Where possible they should also assist with manning the stand throughout the two day event. Directors are accountable to the membership for decisions made by the board. Directors should be prepared to contribute their me and experse to the organisaon. Directors should aend at least 50% of scheduled board meengs and any other important related meengs. Directors should keep abreast of all Board maers and be fully prepared for meengs, reviewing and commenng on minutes and reports. Directors should act as ambassadors for the Design in Mental Health Network and acvely promote the network through whatever means available.
