DESIGN CHARRETTE – INSTRUCTIONS THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING! The UCSB Library will undergo a large renovation in 2012. This is a great opportunity for us to reconfigure the learning spaces throughout the building. There are a number of new areas being considered and we need you to help us design them. Show us how you would lay out the library. INSTRUCTIONS On legal paper, please use the cut-outs to arrange a QUIET study space and an ACTIVE (group-oriented) study space. Draw walls, hallways, additional furniture pieces or equipment, and any other features that you feel would be found in your ideal workspace. Anything is possible; be creative! Please use tape or glue to secure your design. Secondly, we’d like for you to annotate your floor plan. Write in any particular details that you want to emphasize. When you finish we would like for you to provide a one minute overview of your design concept to one of our staff members. It helps us to hear your ideas expressed verbally as well. FEEDBACK Our goal is to collect 50 designs. Over the summer we will review each one and attempt to consolidate the core concepts into several composite models. Over the fall quarter we will present mock-ups to the UCSB community for comments. DESIGN CHARRETTE – INSTRUCTIONS

THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING!

The UCSB Library will undergo a large renovation in 2012. This is a great opportunity for us to reconfigure the learning spaces throughout the building. There are a number of new areas being considered and we need you to help us design them. Show us how you would lay out the library.

INSTRUCTIONSOn legal paper, please use the cut-outs to arrange a QUIET study space and an ACTIVE (group-oriented) study space.

FEEDBACKOur goal is to collect 50 designs. Over the summer we will review each one and attempt to consolidate the core concepts into several composite models. Over the fall quarter we will present mock-ups to the UCSB community for comments. You can follow this process on our building website: tinyurl/myUCSBlibrary Be sure to grab a bookmark with the URL.
