What flora are in the deserts ?• Flora: Desert plants have many

adaptations to survive in a dry enviroment,they are good at finding water. The seed of some flowers can stay in the sand for a long time until there is enough rain for them to grow . In hot deserts you can find this plants: Cactus, Creasote brush, sagebrush and Ocotillo.

What fauna are in the deserts ?

• Some animals that live in the hot desert are cold-blooded, like snakes, insects, and lizards. Mammals that live in the desert are usually small, such as the kangaroo rat and kit fox. Sometimes it's hard to survive in the desert.

Climate

• There is not much life in deserts because of the environmentalconditions.

• Deserts are very dry places. It does not rain very often.

• There is a big difference between the temperature during the day and at night.

• During the day temperatures are very high.

• They normally go above fifty degrees.

• At night the temperature can fall to zero degrees.
