On Friday of the previous
week, the Membership
Sales team had prospective
members touring one last
time before heading back
to Dallas. Even in the rain,
they wanted to see parts
of the Mountain we had
missed the day before due
to their Tee Time at
Chiricahua. While touring on Friday, the
prospects requested to go back to Chiricahua
before heading home so that they could shop
in their “favorite” pro-shop. When we got to
Chiricahua, it was at least 10 minutes after all
the pro-shops were set to close. However,
after running into Tanner Marlatt, CHIR
Head Golf Pro, he allowed the shop to be
opened for our prospects. With the help of
Matt Gorden, CHIR Asst Head Golf Pro,
and Tanner, our prospects were able to shop
and have a DM experience they will never
forget. Thank you so much for going above
and beyond for our department and making
DM shine that much more
for our prospects…and
hopefully our newest
members! Rock Stars!!

Corinne Mack, Group Exercise Manager, created the Desert Mountain Mem-ber Holiday Bazaar about five years ago as a fun way to expose the many talents of our members and to kick off the holidays with some fun pre-holiday shopping.
This annual event has become a tradition at The Sonoran and though Corinne starts recruiting vendors (Desert Mountain members) in the spring, she always has more vendors than space allows and is continually updating the list making sure we have a nice selection of goods that do not interfere with items sold in the Sonoran Boutique. The Bazaar is held
the Saturday before Thanksgiving and has always been a sell-out among vendors and shoppers alike. I know the members all look forward to this annual event and the handful of ladies that help at the event have volun-
teered every year since its inception because it is so much fun. The event also raises funds for the C.A.R.E. Charitable Fund through the donations collected at a dessert table where the members have contributed tasty treats. The DM Member Holiday Bazaar has united members with their neighbors for a festive and memorable
event filled with the spirit of fun and goodwill.
-Wendie Marlais, Pilates Instructor
A homegrown boutique at Desert Mountain? I had never thought of that but Corinne did several years ago and asked for feedback on the idea from a group of exercisers taking a water class. Fast forward and Corinne has taken a project from its infancy and nourished it into a successful event—kudos!! She has rolled up her sleeves and created an event that everyone looks forward to and one that injects the holiday spirit in every member/guest attending. Having been involved in many events, I know things don't just happen. Corinne has done what it takes to make it happen, and she does it with a smile—nice job!
-Paulette Maslick, Member
Corinne is always sensitive to our needs and quick and responsive to our requests. The Member Holiday Bazaar is an appropriate example. Her hard work and diligence in putting this together year after year has been fun to watch. As a participant for three years, I have been in awe of how easy she makes this look when I know it takes a lot of hard work. Congrats to Corinne.

Thank You Gram
Christmas came early for the HR
team in the form of new (and much
improved) computers. Of course,
any time you’re replacing seven
computers for seven different people
with seven different access needs,
there are likely to be some hiccups.
In this case, they were very minimal
because of the due diligence of our
IT team. We would, specifically, like to
recognize Jimmie Padilla, Network Support
Specialist, who single-handedly installed each
of our new systems, returned a few times to
trouble-shoot less-than-satisfactory
keyboard and mouse connectivity,
and maintained the computers for
employee access. He was always
quick to respond (it helps he’s in the
same building), helpful and great
with follow up. Jimmie, we thank
you for all you do with keeping us
connected and running so we can
better serve our employees.
