This paper analyzes one step further the data about the iconography of Venus in Italian and French art, compiled in the two Topical Catalogues.Descriptive statistics are used and some measures of diversity, proposed by nonparametric statistics, are applied without concealing that the samples can be biased. Their seize, however, is considered fair for this type of applications.
