Genetic and Genomic Testing is a fast developing area of medicine which represents the future. In the management of cancer, paediatric disease and prenatal diagnosis, genetics is very much the standard of care in these areas in the new era.
The SPECIALSIED FIELD OF STUDY SURG7100 Genetic CounsellingAim to give a more in-depth study of genetic counselling in prenatal, paediatrics and cancer genetics setting and consist of 3 credit units of each of the following areas to equip the students to go on a genetic counselling or related based career path.

Mode of teaching of this specialised study will be through e- learning, e-workshops, literature review, essay writing, and includes the final dissertation. Online course will be in the evenings and weekends and also flexible access hours to learning materials on line to facilitate those with full time employment .
