The forthcoming 16th annual ČAG conference will be held in Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, town in foothills of the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mountains, culmination part of Outer Western Carpathians in the Czech Republic.

We are very pleased to welcome 56 participants from 6 countries with contributions from geomorphology and related disciplines dealing with landscape development and its forming processes. We are also glad to welcome 3 winners of the student theses contest. We hope the conference will be pleasant and inspiring for you, also thanks to conference-evening and post-conference field trip to the marvellous landscape in the heart of Czech Carpathians.

The registration, abstract submission and conference fee payments are now closed. If you payed a student confer-ence fee, please do not forget to bring a valid proof of full-time student status.

Wednesday May 11, 2016 (17:00 – 20:00) The Kněhyňská cave

Challenging excursion into 57 m deep crevice-type cave. The field trip will be held in case of any weather. Mandatory equipment for the cave excursion:• Helmet with strap below the neck• Headlamp• Second lamp (hand lamp is possible)• Boots (wellies)• Gloves• Two layers of clothes (one for thermal comfort, second

protective against the mud and water)• Refreshment (chocolate bar, water)• Plastic bag for dirty clothes

Note, that after the excursion everything on you will be dirty and wet, we recommend you to bring big plastic bag for the clothes, otherwise you contaminate the ve-hicle.Estimated time underground: 1-2 hrs.In case of any question, please write an e-mail to the excursion guide Jan Lenart: jan.lenart@osu.cz.

The field trip will be held in case of any weather. The May in Czechia is usually quite nice with sunny days, temperatures at 15-25°C during day, but mornings can be very cold. There could be also changing weather with rain. In case of bad weather forecast, warm clothes and umbrellas are recommended. Good boots are rec-ommended anyway.

A full-day field trip into the heart of Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mountains. There is a possibility to pre-order a lunch pack, we will not stop in a restaurant.
