In 2014, Weld CountyDepartment of HumanServices (DHS) reported413 cases of child abuse orneglect. “Child abuse andneglect is a seriousproblem, and we must worktogether as a community toincrease awareness aboutchild abuse and to promotethe wellbeing of childrenand families,” saidCommissioner Chair
Barbara Kirkmeyer. “Prevention remains the best defense for children andfamilies.”
