About Institute

U. V. Patel College of Engineering is flagship institute of Ganpat

University. It is established in 1997, has emerged as a premier self-

financed engineering institute of the University, providing opportunities

to students for acquiring quality engineering education, making all

round development of their inner traits and making them better citizens.

The institute, at present, offers nine undergraduate programmes, eleven

postgraduate programmes, two integrated programmes and the Ph.D.

programme. These courses are duly approved by All India Council for

Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi and Commissionerate of

Technical Education, Government of Gujarat.

5 Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the

study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. This

field first became an identifiable occupation in the later half of the 19th

century after commercialization of the electric telegraph, the telephone,

and electric power distribution. Subsequently, broadcasting and recording

media made electronics part of daily life. The invention of the transistor, and

later the integrated circuit, brought down the cost of electronics to the point

they can be used in almost any household object.
