While some of the ranger stations, cabins and outbuildings are quite remote, others are in more heavily visited spots. These buildings aren’t open to everyone, but whether you’re a state biologist doing research in the field, a warden involved in law enforecement or a tourist exploring a popular vacation site, these state-owned properties play role in protecting and managing Maine’s conserved lands.
