Departmental Activities 2018-19

Workshop for the Students

On 29th November 2018, experts from Securities and Exchange Board of India

(SEBI) organized a Workshop in the college auditorium on “National Securities

Depository Limited” where students were made aware about various investment

options available and investor protection.

Inter departmental Activities

On 5th December 2018 inter-departmental activity with Economics

department was organized on the topic “WTO and its role”. The students

from both the departments took active part in it.

Department of Commerce organized an inter-departmental activity on

Health and Nutrition with Department of Home Science where Dr. Anjali

Dewan imparted valuable knowledge about the nutritious food which one

should consume.

GUEST LECTURE

Guest Lecture delivered by Dr. Devender Sharma, Chairman, Department

of Commerce, Himachal Pradesh University, on the topic “Leadership

and Management Skills”. He imparted valuable knowledge regarding

how to be a good leader and manage contingent situations skillfully.

Seminar for the Students

A Seminar on GST was conducted for B.Com 1st year on 26th November 2018

by the class representative Romika Dhingra , she discussed various aspects of

GST in detail with her classmates and the same topic was discussed with BCA

students as a part of interdepartmental activity with the Department of

Computer Science.

Class Power Point Presentation on Various topics:

To inculcate the habit of facing the crowd confidently and expressing their

views openly, the students are encouraged by the teachers to make Power Point

presentations.
