Program Requirements: Entering students are designated as Pre-Business (PBUS). Once students have attained certain course requirements during the Junior year (see above), they may officially declare a major program in the Belk College. To declare a major, students will complete a Curriculum Guide and Change of Major form with their assigned Academic Advisor. The International Business (IBUS) major is a very structured program of courses that are completed in the junior and senior years after admission to the major. Foreign Language. Students must demonstrate competency in a second language up to the 3202 level. This includes two courses at the elementary level and four above the elementary level, for a total of six language courses (of which two courses must be at the advanced grammar level of 3201 or above). Study Abroad (3 hours). This requirement may be satisfied by participating in an approved Study Abroad program outside of the U.S. and Canada during the Fall, Spring, or Summer semester for a minimum period of three weeks, while completing at least three credit hours of coursework. Students should plan to complete the Study Abroad experience no later than second semester of junior year; students cannot study abroad and graduate in the same semester.

Program Requirements: Entering students are designated as Pre-Business (PBUS). Once students have attained certain course requirements during the Junior year (see above), they may officially declare a major program in the Belk College. To declare a major, students will complete a Curriculum Guide and Change of Major form with their assigned Academic Advisor. The Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) major is a relatively structured program of courses that are completed in the junior and senior years after admission to the major.

Pre-Business 21 hours INFO 2130, MATH 1120, STAT 1220, and ACCT 2121 and 2122, ECON 2101 and 2102. Students must have a C or better for all courses and a minimum combined GPA of 2.5 (or 4Bs and 3Cs). Students may not exceed two attempts for these courses.

OSCM (Major)

42 hours Includes courses in Operations & Supply Chain Management and required Business Core courses in the Belk College.

OSCM (Minor)

33 hours Includes courses in Operations & Supply Chain Management and Business prerequisites. Students must fulfill major requirements under another discipline.

General Education

28 hours MATH 1120, STAT 1220, and ECON 2101 courses satisfy General Education Mathematics and Social Science requirements. COMM 3160 satisfies one Writing Intensive and the Oral Communications requirement.

Electives 29 hours As needed to complete 120 hours total for the degree. 50% of all hours must be classified as “non-business” (offered outside of the Belk College). Some General Education coursework may be used to satisfy 50%.
