Faculty Salary Plan Tutorial

2 Parts: Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) and Market Adjustment

The market adjustment to the base salary scale is a new feature designed to raise the faculty salary scales to market competitiveness and restore the integrity of the rank and step system of faculty advancement by reducing the need to use off-scale(O/S).

A second and final market adjustment is planned for Oct 1 2008, in accordance with the UC Regents-approved 4 year faculty salary plan, and subject to budgetary conditions. COLAs are planned for all 4 years
