SUBJECT: Prairie Island Record
The Department has prepared a copy of the record in the Prairie Island case to beavailable for use in the Legislative Reference Library.
The case is organized into the following sections.
ITEMS are letters and documents submitted throughout the caseand listed by date on an index.
TRANS CRIPTS are the boUnd record of the actual proceeding, asprovided by a court reporter. We are not able to make additionalcopies of the transcripts. Due to copyright laws, additional copiesmust be ordered through the court reporter at considerableexpense.
EXHIBITS are documents presented to the Administrative LawJudge in the hearing and entered into evidence.
INFORMATION REQUESTS are not an official part of the record,but are enclosed because they represent much of the backgroundinformation gathered.
PUBLIC COMMENT are letters written on the matter to theCommission from the general public. These letters are notprovided at this time due to the difficulty in making copies. Theletters, contained in 10 2-inch file folders, are often handwrittencomments on various sizes of paper. We will attempt to providecopies of these letters if requested.
PROPRIETARY INFORMATION includes documents that are partof the record, but not provided here due to the data privacy laws.Authorization to review proprietary documents must be providedby the source of the information.
