SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must By the scholarship application deadline, hold an offer of admission for full-time undergraduate

studies at UCL, which you have firmly accepted or intend to do so. (Accepting UCL as an insurance offer does not satisfy the conditions relating to this scholarship);

Able to demonstrate a broad range of interests and an intention to contribute actively to the life of UCL;

Preferably be aged 25 or less at the start of your studies; Be able to demonstrate that they are in need of financial assistance.

The Scholarship may be held alongside other grants, bursaries, awards or scholarships, provided the total funding does not exceed the cost of fees, plus a reasonable sum for maintenance (as determined by UCL).

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE

The Denys Holland Scholarship consists of funding in the region of £9,000 per annum (The scholarship may be held for up to three years, with annual renewal subject to satisfactory academic progress).

PERSONAL STATEMENT Professor Denys Holland, in whose memory this scholarship was created, took a keen interest in students’ extra-curricular activities as well as in their academic progress. One of his principal concerns was that students entered fully into college life. Please comment on your general interests, and state how you would make use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.
