Elevators

• The Lexit

surgical instruments are truly unique in their design and function

• Easy to use• Minimize need for flap procedures, bone

removal• Decrease surgery time• Provide consistent and predictable results

Page 31: Dental Surgical Instruments

Lexits

Directions for Use

Elevators

Hold the instrument in the palm of your hand with the forefinger extended on the shaft pointing to the tip. This position allows maximum tactile sensation and instrument control.

The tip of the instrument is inserted into the periodontal ligament space in the direction of the long axis of the tooth or root.

The thin blade will penetrate the ligament space to the depth of full compression of the ligament.

Page 32: Dental Surgical Instruments

Lexits

Directions for Use

Elevators

Using a gentle axial reciprocating rotation with increased apical force, the hydraulic effect occurs from the compression of the ligament and the root wll

be lifted from the confines of its bony socket.

It is important that you protect the tissues and structures adjacent to the surgical site.

It is recommended that you place the thumb and forefinger of the opposite hand around the alveolar ridge at the surgical site.

This placement increases tactile feel to detect immediately any movement of the tooth or dislocation of the EAZ Out.
