    Dental Program Manager - Dental Hygienist

    Under general supervision of the Director of Clinic Operations, the Dental Program Manager is responsible for overseeing

    all activities associated with CommunityHealths dental program while providing direct services to patients. This includes

    supervision of dental staff and overseeing daily operations at the West Town and Englewood dental clinics in addition to

    CommunityHealth partner clinics. The Dental Program Manager is responsible for the development and oversight of

    dental goals and actively participates in community engagement and policy activities as they relate to dental.

    Dental Responsibilities:

    Provides preventive, therapeutic and educational methods for control of oral disease in an effort to maintain

    optimum oral health

    Gathers and assembles pertinent patient data to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Such information will include,

    but is not limited to; medical or dental histories, x-ray surveys, impressions and charting of oral inspections

    Maintains hygienists instruments, trays, and other dental equipment in a sterile environment, which includes

    daily sterilization, equipment maintenance and minor cleaning operations

    Participates in community oral health outreach as needed

    Act as a back-up for dental assistant as needed

    Performs other related duties as assigned by volunteer dentist

    Administrative Responsibilities:

    Supervise dental staff as well as oversee volunteer operations and participate in recruitment efforts at

    CommunityHealth dental clinics

    Recommends and implements staff development initiatives and training opportunities

    Works closely with the Dental Director to make recommendations for new and/or revised dental protocols and

    oversees implementation

    Oversees data collection and works closely with Director of Clinic Operations on reporting and data analysis

    Qualifications:

    Active Dental Hygienist License, RDH certification, with at least 3 years experience

    Certified to administer local anesthesia

    Active CPR certification

    Ability to travel to various dental clinics as needed is required

    Experience supervising and overseeing dental staff

    Bilingual (Spanish and English) desired

    Excellent clinical and communication skills

    Self starter and highly organized, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team

    Microsoft office proficient, previous experience working with electronic scheduling system

    Ability to work full time with day, evening and weekend hour flexibility
