ADVANTAGEMaxflexTM material is a rigid thermoplastic elastomer,
specially developed for the application of retainers and
orthodontic appliances. The product is optimized to achieve a
variety of ideal performance balances including: tear resistance,
impact strength, stress retention, durability, stain resistance and
optical transparency. MaxflexTM has the advantages of safety
implant compatibility, durability, and ease of processing required
by modern orthodontic procedures.

Orthodontic appliances’ mechanical propertiesThe mechanical
properties of orthodontic materials can be evaluated by the
residual load data of the stress relaxation test. MaxflexTM and
general commercial PETG materials are tested under 100% relative
humidity. MaxflexTM obviously has a better residual load ratio,
which means MaxflexTM advanced materials will enable you to have a
longer correction period and a better correction effect during the
wear period.
Orthodontic appliances’ stain resistanceDental appliances are
often exposed to food oils, coffee, stains, toothpaste and
mouthwashes. Such exposure can cause many dental materials to turn
yellow or discolor and structurally deteriorate. MaxflexTM has
carried out a two-week immersion dyeing test, and the results show
that it has excellent yellowing inhibition performance compared
with general commercial PETG materials.

The orthodontic elastic ring is mainly worn between the
orthodontic devices (brackets, traction hooks), and continues to
exert traction force to achieve the following purposes:
Closing the gap: slowly close the extraction space while wearing
an elastic ring. Adjust the occlusion: Adjust the occlusal
relationship of the teeth to a relatively ideal state. Adjust the
midline: pull the teeth to the expected position to prevent the
incorrect midline of the teeth from affecting the appearance.
Improve mastication efficiency: make the upper and lower teeth
close together, maximize the contact area and maximize the
mastication efficiency.

The orthodontic bracket is attached to the
orthodontic accelerator. Its principle is to apply a
low-frequency low-torque pulse to the teeth, which greatly
increases the speed of tooth movement during the orthodontic
process and helps tooth healing. In orthodontic treatment,
the process of tooth movement is called bone remodeling.
When pressure is applied to the tooth, bone cells, osteoclasts
and osteoblasts mobil ize the surrounding root bone to change
the changes caused by tooth movement.
Studies have shown that mechanical stimulation of bones can be
beneficial to treat bone and muscle loss and improve fracture
healing rate. A good orthodontic aligner must have bite comfort and
pulse energy transfer. This product uses a special medical
grade polymer elastomer to provide the best balance between bite
comfort and pulse energy transfer to achieve an optimal
correction effect.
