If you have temperature-sensitive teeth, try a different toothpaste. Before assuming it is just
sensitive teeth, get checked out by your dentist. Your dentist can tell if there are any other
possible causes.
In order to clean your teeth in the best way, make sure you are using a soft-bristle toothbrush
that is the perfect size for your mouth. You need to allow your toothbrush to air dry after each
use so that bacteria doesn't form. When not in use, a toothbrush should be stored in a
horizontal position to ensure that air can circulate around it.
teeth whitening Clean your toothbrush often. Rinse it when you are done brushing, and let it
dry. Keep it in a holder so that the bristles do not touch anything else. It is best to keep your
toothbrush in the open air, to prevent bacterial growth in between uses. Regularly replace
your toothbrush.
Try to make it a habit to brush as soon as you finish a meal. The longer food and plaque
inhabit your mouth, the more damage is caused. Brushing within 30 minutes of eating can
greatly diminish damage to your teeth by getting rid of plaque before it builds up. Prevent
potential toothaches by preventing plaque build-up.
If you are scared of an upcoming dental procedure, talk with your dentist and determine a
signal to let them know you are going to need a break. You can agree on a handle signal.
Many times this will be unnecessary; however, knowing you have this option may relax you.
Make an appointment with a dentist at least once yearly. You will greatly improve the health
of your teeth with regular dentist appointments. Finding a cavity or other dental issue earlier
makes it cheaper and easier to fix. It is also healthier. You can save money and your teeth by
getting early treatment.
Make sure you visit your dentist regularly. If you avoid having regular checkups with your
dentist, you may end up dealing with serious problems later in life. Just go to your dentist so
that he can clean up your mouth and take care of anything that may need his attention.
Your toothbrush should never have hard bristles. A hard bristle can cause gums to recede.
You might also damage the enamel on your teeth. These conditions can increase tooth
sensitivity. The ideal toothbrush has soft or medium bristles.
Avoid throwing away a tooth that has came out. Rinse it in warm water to remove any foreign
debris. Leave any skin or tissue clinging to it in place, and simply place the tooth back in its
socket. If this can't be done, put your tooth into a small cup of milk, and immediately visit your
dentist.
Even if you already have a good dental hygiene, there are probably things you can do to
improve. You may not be aware of some things, so it's smart to read the latest information
and advice.
