Denso Site Visit – Developing In-House Automation 8:30am – 1:00pm, Thursday 10 August 2017, Denso, Croydon VIC
OVERVIEW Just over 10 years ago, Denso were faced with the challenges of increasing product complexity at the same time as a tightening of capital investment. This resulted in a significant increase in required production labor which impacted on the competitiveness of the Croydon plant. Denso’s local team responded with innovative but low cost automation. Since that time, Denso has completed 20 projects resulting in a combined labor reduction of 34 with an average payback of 1.2 years. Further to the cost savings, automation projects have generally enhanced quality and safety and improved the technical capability of the manufacturing teams. Get an insight into how Denso identified, planned and delivered projects and how they developed their capabilities and engaged their workforce in the benefits of automation.
