Promote actions to Dengue control in Belford Roxo City, RJ,

especially in places of difficult access in the region, using a new technology in

monitoring and reporting as key strategies, M.E.C.E - Monitoring strategic control

Epidemic, and a innovative technological system in vector air control , the

Motofog.

Especific Objetives

• Promote speaches in local schools in order to educate the students about the prevention

and Aedes Aegypt controls;

• Develop an educational booklet (prevention and controls of Dengue) directed to

population focus of this project;

• Evaluate the situation, before and after the execution of this Project, related to cases of

Dengue in the area of study;

• Map the Study Area which will be held the dengue monitoring and epidemic control;

• Implement preventive measuresments to vacancy residences;

• Produce monthly reports of the monitoring and vector control, pointing out the places

with greater focus of the vector insect.

In partnership with Belford Roxo Health Department, will be structured an action plan and a

site team agents.

EXECUTION - Phase 2

Make the mapping of the focused region where the vectors infestation control will be executed and analyze current rates

The technical team will make a geographic mapping and assess the epidemic historical situation

of the study area. For this, the module LIRAa of the System M.E.C.E. will be used (site

and laboratory). This system will also base all stages of the project.

EXECUTION - Phase 4

Analyze and tabulate the data concerning the monitoring and epidemic control of the vector insect

This stage involves the input of the lab analysis results in the M.E.C.E system and calculation

of the infestation rates of analyzed samples. After this data input, the corresponding results will

be generated.
