Crafts I have enjoyed over the years have been drawing, painting, cross stitching, making button necklaces and beading. Recently I have added to that ever growing list; making my own buttons and leatherwork. I LOVE working with leather. It use to be such a blokey thing but I am gradually changing that by making pretty things from leather in a non traditional way using traditional techniques. Amalgamating craft I already know with new crafts I am learning. I love the earthiness of leatherwork and the ‘getting your hands dirty’ part of it. And also the noise. The smashing of the mallet onto the hide to create pretty shapes which are later accentuated by the rubbing of dyes and stains. It’s a real ‘hands on’ craft. And I think every girl should pound a mallet. It’s a great freeing feeling. myclectic.etsy.com 12pm - 2pm RESIN WORK Bronwen Jones Bronwen has been using resin for over four years, making bangles and vases for her label, Bravo Juliet Designs. While she can’t actually demonstrate mixing, colouring and pouring resin due to OH&S considerations, she will show you how simply the bangles and vases come out of the moulds and how she then sands them to a gorgeous, tactile finish. bravojulietdesigns.etsy.com 2pm - 4pm UPCYCLED BROOCHES Felicity Clarke Felicity clarke is a textile and mixed media artist, who specializes in needle felting and soft sculpture.
