Each September we elect 2 school councillors for each class, from Year 1 to Year 6. Those children represent us for one year. The council works as two sub-committees, Eco and School Improvement.

School Council lead assemblies to share their work with the

whole school.

PELHAM SCHOOL COUNCIL

The School Council represent their class in the way an MP represents their constituency. They take pupil concerns to the school leaders and help write school policy.

Our peer mentors are trained to listen and support.

PEER MENTORS

Pupils at Pelham learn to take responsibility for each other and to support each other. Peer Mentors and Young Leaders are appointed after applying in writing for the post. Peer Mentors provide support in Key Stage 2, listening to concerns and helping children find support. Young Leaders lead games in the Key Stage 1 playground.
