when ordinary people (British citizens) get to choose who should represent England and run the country. To do this you must be on the electoral role even if you are a British citizen and you have to be over 18. The elections take place every five years on the 7th of May. Party leaders explain if they become priminister what their party would do for the country e.g. Edward Miliband is the leader of labour , David Cameron is the Conservative leader and the Priminister at present and Nick Clegg is the Liberal Demarcate leader. These parties have lots of different points of view of how to spend money on schools , hospitals and roads.

The Magna Carta is a grate Charta sighed in the year 1215 by King John and his Barons, this was to stop him abusing his powers and the Magna Carta gave ordinary people their rights. It is a written rule that applied to the whole of England.

The women voteThe women's vote was important time in history because in 1903 women were not allowed to vote but there was a group called the suffragettes, one of the main women was Emily Pankhurst, she planed the protest and in 1918 the women won though and earned their vote

What is Parliament?750 years ago the first parliament was introduced, the Houses of Parliament is in London, in the area of Westminster. One of the most famous parts of the Houses of Parliament is Big Ben. Big Ben is not the real name of the clock but is the name of the biggest bell within the clock. The MPs ( members of parliament) attend and debate in the Houses of Parliament . There are two parts to the Houses of Parliament; the House of Lords and the House of Commons, but the House of Commons is the most powerful, this is where the laws of the land are made by the Parliament. A law is defined as what we can and can not do.

What is Representative Democracy?

Respective democracy is when eligible voters vote for a person (representative) to stand in the House of Commons to pass laws on their behalf.

Free buses for children 8 and under

So if you are running late for work and need to drop your child off to school. If you vote for us we will make buses for 8 and under for free for your child and it will stop outside your house and it will save money and time and you will be early for your work and your child will be early for school too. that will only happen if you vote for us. Also taxes will be 25p per pound and crime if a burglar alarm set off the whole house will shutdown and automatically the police will know and health pharmacy should give free medicine.
