Software download Location

1.

Installation of Oracle Database 10g

1. Click setup.exe and follow screenshot for the installation of Oracle10g (10.2.0.1)

installation. Click Next

Security warning may be displayed. Clik on run button

2. Select advanced installation in the installation screen. Click Next

3. Select installation type as enterprise edition and Click Next

4. Specify the Oracle home details and click Next

5. Product prerequisite checks will be performed and there will some warnings messages if your

PC is running in

DHCP environment. You can safely ignore the same and proceed with Next

Click yes on the warning message.

6. Select create database option (default) and click on Next

7. Database configuration type as General purpose database

8. Specify the database name and character set and click on Next

15 Login to database from Oracle SQL*Plus

Create the tablespaces with the below command.

create tablespace datafile size 50m autoextend on next 10m

maxsize 2048m;

List of tablespaces needs to be created.

For default data TS_DP

For temporary data TEMPFor sales data TS_SALES_DATA

For index data TS_SALES_DATA_X

For simulation data TS_SIM

Demantra 7.3 Post Installation Testing

a. Start the Tomcat Server

(Check in the installed directory for the file

C:\oracle\Demantra\Collaborator\Tomcat\in click on startup.bat)

b. Access the Collaborator workbench

Troubleshooting.

Issue 1:

1. Internet Explorer 8 unable to open the urls for Demantra

Solution:

Use Mozilla firefox 3.6 to open url .it will fix this issue.
