3 Sided Enclosure To keep panel from sliding forward wrap bar with Stamoid Light screw PVC track to pipe covering the seam on the material.
Now with the aid of zipper sewed to the Keder Welt this keeps the panels from sliding forward
Track to Track Enclosure Zip all the panels together to line up Keder and horizontal zippers along the bottom
Notice track going down the side so to close door just zip down

Enclosures tips
• Before working with Crystal Clear clean both sides of the glass with spry 210 cleaner
vinyl cleaner buff it by hand with a Micro Fiber rag, this prevents the glass from
getting marked or scratch while working with it.
• Place a small size balls rubber ball under your enclosure panel while sewing it on the
table makes moving the enclosure panel easier. Use a Racket Ball size with no fuzz on
the ball.
• Enclosure panel pattern what info to put on the pattern: Zip splits, inside or outside,
glass type, customer name, fabric color, etc.
• Cut fabric across the roll facing will lay flatter.
• Cut your U zipper end on and angle before sewing
• Stamoid seam tape so that it does not seep out of seams use Bainbridge Tesa Tape J492 3/8 inches wide J493 ½ inches wide
• Make seam tape stick to acrylic binding wipe binding down with Acetone
Enclosures tips
• Scratch in sheet glass use a hair dryer or carefully with a heat gun will make the
scratch not as noticeable.
• Roll up straps exposed to harsh UV use Polyester webbing not Polypropelene• Prevent sliders from seizing up with salt spray a little “Salt Away” on the slider • Use green ink pen to write on Stamoid easy to erase • Shoe booties paper shoe booties wear over your shoes for when working on boat as
not to leave shoe marks keeping the boat clean Leave the boat looking better than when you got there the little things mean a lot to a boater
• Sew in canvas labels a must for every job you do you take the time to make a great product, now let them know who did it
• Give customer cleaning & maintenance information with recommended cleaners & waterproofing to get them back into your shop
• When cutting 40 gauge sheet glass use a razor blade to score the glass than peel it up.• Avoid using Blue Sharpie on any pattern material as Blue does not dry and it can
transfer to white upholstery or enclosure.
Enclosures tips
• To prevent water build up inside the lower facing on your enclosure near the bottom
on the inside boarder only sew a roll with no thread this gives a place for what water
does get in there to seep out
• Patterning tape use Bainbridge International double face tape ¾ “ J455 when taping
this onto metal or fiberglass it will release easier than Super Stick tape does, use J 445
for sticking glass to fabric before sewing.
• Writing instructions on your plastic pattern material take a piece of clear 2 inch wide
packing tape information is still easy to read and no worries of marker transferring to
material
• Stains on Stamoid and vinyl Mr. Clean Eraser, Oxyclean, IMAR 501
